Spicy points!!!

Do you want to earn prizes for doing  good things?Then you need the spice-o-meter. To fill up the spice-o-meter you will need to know what it is. The spice-o-meter is a pepper that when your class does a really good thing your class gets awarded with spicy points that get you one step closer to a prize.Some of the prizes you can get from the spice-o-meter are pj and reading day or a picnic... stuff like that. You can also lose spicy points on the spice-o-meter by doing things that disrupt the class when you do things like that it takes you one step farther away from prizes. The spice-o-meter is more than just a pepper it’s a pepper that you can earn prizes from.

Mexican Artists

Mexican artists came to our school because this year in 4Ry we will study Mexico!

The People

Cilau Valadez is a Mexican artist that has a

specialty of making yarn paintings.

    Cilau Valadez was born in the Huichol

Mexican tribe up in the deep mountains of

Mexico. He grew up making yarn paintings.

The Huichol tribe of Mexico is mainly known

for their marvelous yarn paintings and bead

Work their work is as colorful as a macaw.  Cilau travel the world with other artists

like to Australia,the Czech Republic and

many more places.

 

What does Cilau do?

  Do you like to travel?,I do!

    Cilau travels the world with other artists and does special classes

with other young kids. He teaches them how to yarn paint and do

beautiful bead work. He teaches them the culture and history of the

Huichol tribe.

    The Huichol tribe has been making yarn paintings and bead work for many   years.They make a living making and selling bead work and yarn paintings. Yarn painting is pretty common throughout the southern and coastal regions of Mexico.

Do you like to play with beads?

 Bead work is also pretty common as yarn painting.  Bed work has a longer process than yarn painting. The Huichol people mainly work on beaded skulls.

4Ry Job Board

Do you have a job?In 4RY we have jobs!One of 4RY’s jobs is Math center. Math Center is Daniel. He cleans the math center. Another job is Messenger. The Messenger sends important notes. A important job is librarian. They organize the book self’s. 4 lucky kids have vacation.They are as lucky as a millionaire.Vacation is like a week off. You don’t have a job! The job board is a great way to get different jobs each week!

Student Blog Post - Chairs

                                            4RY CHAIRS

      Imagine being ten years old, in school sitting in your seat being  uncomfortable the whole day ….   Well,  4RY is not like that! We have many comfy  options. The comfy seats help students learn better. The bean bag chairs are like sitting on a big green cloud. Kids sit there to read. The chairs are like sitting on the edge of your bed. Our work chairs are soooo comfy, I don’t know why nobody sits on them as much as they used to. You can also sit the other way on the chairs. I know for sure all the classes don’t have those kinds of chairs. When you sit on a stool and you lean forward to much you fall off like when you fall off a cliff. When you sit on a stool and you spin and spin you might get dizzy but you can feel the earth spinning with you. Are the chairs in your class comfy if not than welcome to 4RY!!

Student Post - Specials!

Do you like specials? If you do here are some specials to get you energized and others are to get you working. All of our specials are cool but PE is amazing! PE is fun because you can run like cheetas and jump like frogs! Also we play games for example tag,sharks and minos, and much more!Art is very messy but very fun and cool. In art we art we are working on painting and drawing shoes and bugs and more .Shhhhhh! This is library. This is where we  checkout and renew books. Destiny is how we get info about what we want if we need info. Click click! Technology is awesome because we are learning about web sites and that’s cool. My partner is Jack.K we are looking up scary roller coasters you can look up what you want. The noise noise and the noise .Music is loud but fun and awesome! Specials are cool because you get to learn about and experience different types of creative activities. By B.M.
